Julius C.

Julius is 15 years old and has recently started attending
Turasha Secondary School. On the day we took him to school, Julius' mother came with us. She was excited that her oldest son was going to have the chance to receive the education she never got. 
We have great hope for Julius and he is determined to succeed in his studies.

Virginia N.



Virginia is a student at Dr. Kiano Girls Secondary School. She is 18 years old. She is from the village of Murang'a.

Virginia's mother is deceased, and her 4 siblings live with their father who sells vegetables to support his family.

Virginia enjoys studying history and Christian Religion. One day she hopes to attend college and become a dentist.



Anne W.



Anne is 15 years old and is fom the village of Ol Kalou.

She currently is attending Dr. Kiano Girls Secondary School.

Her mother sells second hand clothing to help support Anne and her younger sister.

Anne enjoys studying math, biology and English. When she graduates, Anne will pursue a career in accounting.

Samuel K.






George B.


George is 18 years old and is a student at Kahithe Secondary School.
His home village is Kariobangi, and he has no parents or siblings.
George enjoys playing sports in his free time. Football is his favorite sport. He also likes to sing.
His favorite subjects in school are biology, math and english.
Someday, George hopes to attend University and study the law. He dreams of becoming either a lawyer or a judge.

Kennedy M.


Kennedy is an exceptional young man with great leadership potential. He is bright and has a natural ability to attract people to him.
Currently Kennedy is a student atKahithe Secondary School where he enjoys studying Math and the sciences. He also speaks three languages including English.
Both Kennedy's parents are deceased and he has two siblings. His home village is Kawangware.
Kennedy has had some health issues, but still works to maintai his studies.
He has dreams of one day becoming a doctor and visiting the United States.

Risper W.


Risper is a student at the Nairobi Girls School. She is 23 years old. Both her parents are living and reside in Murang'a. They sell farm produce in order to support their four remaining children at home.
Risper is a good student who enjoys studying the subjects that are offered at this vocational school.
Risper is interested in becoming either a hairdresser or office manager when she graduates.
